Pediatric Art Programs

Art Comforts Young Patients

Pediatric hospitals face the challenge of transforming what would ideally be a small and welcoming facility into an environment specifically designed for children. However, with its presence, spirit, and content, art can play a vital role in overcoming this challenge. It showcases the power of creativity in problem-solving and the ability to transform a space into one that is truly designed for children.

At Aesthetics, we approach pediatric art programs with kid-specific goals in mind. Since pediatric patients range from infancy to 18 years old, the artwork needs to engage and resonate with various age groups. It is also essential to recognize that children are not simply smaller versions of adults. All spaces that children navigate should feature thoughtfully designed, art-filled experiences that enhance the architecture, interior design, and landscape. This approach helps children feel embraced by positivity and enhances the perception of care within the hospital. It creates a sense of comfort for patients and families, making them feel that they are in a unique and compassionate environment and in good hands.
