Aesthetics is thrilled to announce that a year-long community art project has come to life! On August 6th, this stunning community created mosaic mural at Montreal Children’s Hospital was unveiled, and we couldn’t be prouder to have been the coordinating art agency for this incredible artwork. This hospital art project has been a remarkable journey that involved the creative contributions of both artists and patients alike.
We partnered with renowned artist and illustrator Lewis Lavoie and his partner at Mural Mosaic, Paul Alain, to create this stunning piece. Made up of 750 vibrant tiles, each painted by hand, this mural embodies the essence of hope, joy, and resilience. Every tile represents not just an individual stroke of creativity but a unique story from the young patients and their families who participated. This collaborative effort has not only beautified the hospital environment but also served as a source of inspiration for those who come through its doors.
The mural generates a warm and welcoming atmosphere, transforming a healthcare setting into a space that radiates positivity and creativity. It stands as a testament to our collective collaboration, proving that art has the power to uplift and heal. We hope this vibrant mural will be a source of joy for the hospital’s young patients and their families during their time at the hospital.
This public art project showcases our commitment to fostering creativity in unexpected places and demonstrates the potential of art to deepen connections among people, promote healing, and enhance the overall experience in healthcare environments. We are grateful to everyone who contributed to this project and look forward to future collaborations that inspire and bring joy to communities.
